What does it mean to you to be quirky and what do you love about it?
Quirkiness to me is embracing your ‘isms,’ the things that make you YOU, not being afraid to be different, taking risks, going off the beaten path. I love my quirkiness because it confirms WHO I AM. I’m like no one else and that is good news.

What’s a secret, unusual talent that you have?
I can perfectly guess what size container I need for things – food, liquid, which bags or boxes to use for packing things, etc. It seems small, but in my life it is a big SKILL!

:: Quest ::

Where do you find your mojo?
Dance class is pretty empowering. When I was in performing arts school, movement was a task and I was harshly judged and graded for it. Now when I move it is a pleasure and a gift I give myself. It makes me feel like I can do anything.

Explain one experiment you’ve done that changed your life:
I shared my business with social media and I now have a community of people to connect to with my love of food.

What’s your favorite recent discovery for…

Your home:
 Having less leaves room for more. Getting rid of things, donating, circulating items to others has given my home space to breathe.
Your body:
 I can push myself a lot further in a group than on my own. Group exercise inspires me, encourages me, and makes me feel like I am part of an important group of literal movers and shakers.
Your belly:
 I recently started eating meat again after 6 years and drinking alcohol again after 14 years and I feel great!
Your soul:
 Beliefs and practices expand and contract just like muscles. They must be worked, massaged, fed well, and rested.
Music:
 Music is not something I have on in the background or something that is casual for me. When I have music on, my ears are tuned to that and nothing else. Singular listening keeps it sacred.
Writing:
 I’m a writer! I suppose I’ve always known that, but my All Good Things blog has confirmed it and is one of the best parts of what I do now.
Art: Someone once said, “Talent is a matter of taste.” I believe we are all artists. My talent level at my art may not be your taste, but that doesn’t make me any less of an artist.

:: Mission ::

How do you celebrate the deliciousness of being quirky?
My quirkiness comes out in my style and my lack of inhibition. I dress with a point of view.

What is your #1 tip for a fellow quirkster?
Take the path less chosen. Make your own way. Don’t be afraid to be a leader.

About: I was always a performing artist with a day job of cooking – I have combined the two and happily created my dream job, connecting to others through food and media!
